The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and will work closely with senior HR management in supporting all employee related efforts in El Salvador. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has a passion for employee experience.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing a variety of HR programs. Partner with line managers and provide guidance on all employee relation issues.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
• Provide operational support to AKQA El Salvador
• Maintain employee files and employee contracts
• Provide front-line support to employees and managers
• Foster and support a positive, employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and
employee engagement
• Ensures the organization is compliant with all applicable employment laws
• Conduct new-hire orientations, compliance trainings, and new manager assimilations
• Generate offer letter agreements for new hires
• Process personnel actions and HR related matters including separations, new hire paperwork and conflict resolution
• Coordinate pay related changes
• Support the General Manager in key areas such as performance management, employee relations, and organizational
development
• Conduct exit interviews and 30/60/90 day check-ins
• Lead and maintain the company’s learning and development program
• Partner with the HR team in San Francisco to manage engagement and retention initiatives
• Facilitate HR and Culture + Wellness related events
QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist/Manager role
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish. TOEFL/TOEIC certificate is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication; able to communicate effectively within AKQA’s diverse culture
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
• Solid knowledge of HR best practices including benefits, compensation, local employment law, performance management,
employee relations policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize workload with strong follow-through
• Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to drive results
• Excellent priority-setting and time management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability; ability to successfully work under pressure, respond to shifting needs and manage multiple tasks at
one time
• High professional standards and strong employee service mentality
