Tool Analyst is responsible for forecasting, planning, and managing the demand for tools required in operation operations. This role is critical due to strict quality standards, long lead times, and zero-tolerance for production disruption, it requires optimal tool availability while minimizing inventory costs, downtime, and shortages.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Languages: Advanced proficiency in English (Desirable).
• Software: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Demand Planning, Forecasting & Inventory Optimization

• Analyze historical tool usage and consumption.
• Develop demand forecasts based on production plans, maintenance schedules, and new projects.
• Adjust forecasts using seasonality, new programs, or planning/programming changes
• Set and maintain min/max levels and safety stock for tools between warehouses.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify gaps or excess stock.
• Recommend actions to balance availability and tool purchase expenses.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Track tool consumption patterns, cycle times, and tool calibration/maintenance program.
• Create dashboards and reports (e.g., usage trends, forecast vs actual, shortages)
• Identify anomalies and root causes for demand deviations.

Cross-functional Coordination and Inputs

• Work closely with: Production, Operations, Inventory Planning, Purchasing Department, Supplier & Tools Engineering.
• Provide demand inputs to procurement for purchasing decisions.
• Support purchasing performance tracking (lead times, fill rates)
• Help mitigate supply risks through forecasting insights.

Technical Skills

• Demand planning and forecasting methods.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, forecasting models)
• Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Analytical Skills

• Data interpretation and analysis of tools manuals, regulated manuals, tools drawings and references.
• Root cause analysis
