Underwriter Job Description
We are a fast-growing Texas insurance agency with locations across the state. We are looking
for an Underwriter that will ensure that the policy requirements are fulfilled and completed. An
underwriter's daily tasks include analyzing the customer's information obtained throughout the
application process, assessing if the policy's requirements are satisfied with the necessary
documentation, and flagging the policies that are either invalid or incomplete. Responsibilities
include:
? Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including the completion of appropriate
forms.
? Review receipts for policies sold.
? Create reports on every regent regarding their invalid and what is missing from the
system.
? Send audit papers and information to the company upon request from any of the
companies with which the agency works with.
? Forward underwriting emails to the sales agent on flags that need immediate care.

Scope of Work - Underwriter
General Purpose
The underwriter is responsible to assess the risk of an insurer before the start of the policy
period and at the time of renewal. The underwriter will analyze the customer's information
obtained throughout the application process, evaluate if the policy's requirements are satisfied
with the necessary documentation and flag the policies that are either invalid or incomplete.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including the completion of appropriate
forms and all required uploads (including pictures when needed).
? Review receipts and transaction types. If transactions are missed labeled, corrections
will need to be sent to sweep.
? Create reports on every district regarding their invalid and what is missing from the
system.
? Communicate with the management team regarding training and reporting.
