Job Summary
The Logistics Supervisor will oversee day to day frontline logistics operations, ensuring the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of tasks while mantainig a positive work environment. This role involves tracking shipments, schedules, and workflows while serving as a key point of contact for clients and vendors to maintain seamless communication and operations. The Logistics Supervisor will also manage the performance of logistics specialists and coordinators, monitor adherence to procedures, and provide hands-on support to resolve immediate challenges. In addition to these choirs, the logistics supervidor will be engaged in basic tasks and responsaiblities dealing with attendance, punctuality, vacation requests, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Train Logistics Peronel: Supervise, train, and motivate employees, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their jobs effectively.
- Supervise Logistics Operations: Manage day-to-day logistics activities, ensuring workflows are efficient, tasks are completed on schedule, and quality standards are met.
- Client and Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, ensuring clear communication and resolving any operational issues promptly.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the performance of logistics specialists and coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize team output.
- Tracking and Scheduling: Monitor shipments and schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and timely updates to stakeholders.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all logistics activities adhere to company procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in company systems.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve operational challenges, including shipment delays, vendor issues, or procedural gaps, to ensure smooth operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze team performance, generate reports, and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure integrated logistics solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: o 3+ years in logistics or supply chain coordination with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to manage teams and oversee frontline logistics operations.
Skills:
- Proficiency in logistics management software (Logitude or similar systems preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform in high-pressure environments.
- Languages: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international logistics, including customs and compliance.
- Familiarity with managing freight and 3PL relationships.
- Background in dynamic industries such as retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing.
