SR ACCOUNTANT EMEA:
Lead a team with ownership for processing, reconciling and accounting for the company’s international operations in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region. He/she is responsible for accurate accounting & reporting between internal and external partners including vendors and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Lead team of accounting and settlement resources to support operations for EMEA international business
-Main contact to regional EMEA Finance Head for accounting transactions including issue identification and resolution
-Manage weekly AP payment runs and vendor inquiries
-Ensure alignment with overall company accounting and settlement requirements and policies
-Compliance and adherence to all financial controls and operational business processes
-Reconciliations and reporting processes in accordance with month end closing guidelines
-Period end procedures including preparing schedules to support accurate reporting of financial results
-Facilitate and create variance analysis and other ad hoc financial and management reporting
-Knowledge and training to perform tasks of all team members including accounts payable, accounts receivable, transactional responsibilities to provide additional coverage as necessary
-Adhoc requests from business and head office
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Accounting or related field with 3-5 years’ experience
• Proficiency in English language is required with high-level of reading, writing and conversational speaking ability
• Experience with accounting systems, bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals and reconciliations
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles is required
• Experience using both Microsoft Excel and Word at intermediate level
• Must have a strong attention to detail, motivated to ensure accuracy of own work and drive tasks to completion
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work well within defined timelines
• High attention to detail and task orientation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take initiative and be responsive
