BUSINESS ANALYST- AACOUNTS PAYABLE.

Ensure that all supplier invoices are processed, approved and paid in accordance with company policies.
Completion of monthly statement reconciliations and closing procedures.

RESPONSABILITIES:

-Verify invoices for goods and services ensuring the VAT has been accounted for correctly
-Scan invoices and input into the processing system for payment preparation
-Ensure correct approvals have been obtained in line with the Authorization matrix and purchase orders have been "receipted"
-Manage weekly payment runs
-New vendor set-up and inquiries
-Prepare emergency payments daily for stock and card refunds
-Perform supplier account reconciliations in accordance with company schedule
-Investigate any debit balances on accounts and ensure funds are returned
-To verify employee expense claims are in-line with policy, both personal and company cards, ensuring VAT is treated correctly, approved in line with the authorization matrix and valid receipts are attached
-Month end closing procedures
-Review and work within company policies, internal controls, standard operating procedures and legislative updates ensuring alignment with best practices and minimizing business risk
-Adhoc requests from business and head office.

KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Business Administration or related field with 1-3 years’ experience
• Proficiency in English language is required with high-level of reading, writing and conversational speaking ability
• Experience with accounting systems, bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals and reconciliations
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles is required
• Experience using both Microsoft Excel and Word at intermediate level
• Must have a strong attention to detail, motivated to ensure accuracy of own work and drive tasks to completion
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work well within defined timelines
• High attention to detail and task orientation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take initiative and be responsive
