SUMMARY: Responsible for working directly with management to identify, analyze and develop reports as needed.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform on-going evaluations of business and user needs to consolidate or decommission reports where necessary. Accurately document user business needs, understand requirements for reporting solutions and develop requested reports. Analyze data on reports and make recommendations for process improvements to management based on findings. Maintain an inventory of all reporting within the Freight Services business group. Train internal employees and management as needed when changes to reports are complete. Identify reporting needs for process improvements to enhance overall efficiency. Ensure reports are maintained on the SharePoint sites. Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business, transportation/logistics or a related field; or a combination of post high school and experience may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE: 1 – 3 years’ experience in the transportation industry providing data analysis and reporting solutions, preferably in a contact center.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, SharePoint and Microsoft Projects. Proficient in VBA programming language, SQL query language and report building.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to share relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to others at various levels within the organization. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to develop, improve and streamline processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, policies, procedure, correspondences and other written materials. Knowledge of methods to collect data, research and present.
