SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing business knowledge and technical skills to implement strategies, evaluate products and provide support that benefit the company. This will be a full-time position to support Crowley Maritime Corporation online services across multiple regions and data centers. The role will work closely with the enterprise Network Manager, Network and Voice support partners, Service providers and business users. Work from Crowley El Salvador office location to remotely monitor and maintain integrity of network infrastructure. Provide support for various remote locations primarily in U.S. and Central America.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include oversight of managed services support partners, test, implement, document and maintain network data and voice infrastructure.
Monitor performance solutions to assist with customers business drivers.
Capture, understand, translate and document customer requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
Ensure successful implementation and perform post project end user support.
Apply the appropriate performance monitoring solutions to business.
Ensure that accurate and regular reports are completed and submitted as per the documented business processes.

Ability to remotely support office moves, circuit turn-ups and upgrades.
Strong understanding and advanced knowledge of troubleshooting, maintaining and optimization of Cisco routers and switches with advanced routing and switching protocols.
Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot, maintain and optimize Riverbed WAN Optimizers, Wireless controllers and other network components.
Familiar with Network Performance monitoring tools such as Riverbed NPM, SolarWinds monitoring tools and packet capture tools.
Understanding of how compute / applications interact with the network.
Basic knowledge of Cisco VoIP infrastructure including COS/QOS on router and switches.
Basic understanding of complex security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, load balancing.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years technical experience working with advanced and complex network operations in large enterprise environment.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight (8) years.
Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications
Riverbed certifications a plus
