IT Systems Engineer

As an IT Systems Engineer, you would be working with the Infrastructure and Operations Department to provide IT services and capabilities supporting all areas of Information Technology in use. This includes diverse areas such as Servers, Data Storage, Operations, Data Centers, Network, Telephone services, and many others.
With help of experienced teams and trusted partners you will be responsible for overseeing all IT Infrastructure and supporting managed and in-house services our businesses across the world rely on 24/7: Hosting Services: Production, Dev and DR hosting, Firewall Security, DDOS protection, WAF, Load Balancer, Compute and Storage resources, Akamai Web Acceleration and security Internal IT services.
The ideal candidate will be well organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in sometimes pressured situations. At least 3 years' experience in a Systems Management role with a wide variety of technologies.

Responsibilities:
• The position will manage an in-house IT operations team
• Provide technical support to maintain, monitor and troubleshoot technical systems that are associated with internal and public corporate web sites.
• Participate in scheduled projects that require interaction between internal development squads or hardware/software providers. Provides input to project plans, work schedules and critical timelines.
• Demonstrate teamwork by participating and performing tasks as defined by the team.

Skills and Knowledge:
• Linux System administration
• Basic understanding of Git repositories
• Working within a ticket tracking system (JIRA, a plus)
• TCP/IP networking
• Knowledge of Web Technologies, particularly Microsoft .net, SQL, IIS.
• Contributing to a collaborative, dynamic, and diverse team
• Cloud hosting experience (such as Amazon Web Services)
• Email message delivery: Microsoft SMTP and Postfix.
• Experience with virtual platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server Database administration and querying
• Windows Server Administration
• Active Directory and Office365 Administration
• Telephone Services Administration
• Firewall Administration (Checkpoint, Fortinet)
• VPN Site to Site Knowledge
