Ensures that Bills of Lading are completed and invoices are delivered within indicated timeframe and high degree of accuracy
Process information into the freight services applications to ensure that the documentation process flows as scheduled, based on documents submitted by our customers
Release documents per instructions provided by customers
Keep the Supervisor and Manager informed of any situation that may impact service, cargo delivery at destination and/or customer satisfaction
Submit a daily production report
Verify and confirm information submitted by customer, to process Bill of Lading correctly
Keep timely communication with customer, Port’s office and destination’s office to process a Bill of Lading when needed
Work closely with BL Revision Department, to ensure corrections are communicated timely and accurately after voyage sailing
Work closely with Pricing Department to ensure that rate requests and verifications are entered and followed up correctly
Proactively handle internal and external customers’ requests
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Entry Level: minimum 6 months to 1 year of general office experience or minimum 6 months’ transportation experience.
For those working in a call center environment, employee must have a minimum of 1 year working with customers as a primary job function
Data entry skills (8,640 kph with 98% accuracy rate)
Goal oriented with positive attitude, multitasking skills and open to work overtime as required
Bilingual English/ Spanish is required/ written and verbal English communication skills, Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, specially Outlook and Excel
Team player with proven ability to work well under constant deadlines
Excellent customer service skills
Problem Solving skills with the ability to seek alternative solutions for difficulties
Teamwork – showing a commitment to teamwork and collaboration
Proactive and auto-motivated
