Startek El Salvador is looking for a dedicated and solutions-driven IT Technician to join our team in San Salvador. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our IT systems, supporting both daily operations and strategic initiatives.


Job Summary:

The IT Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining information technology and telecommunication equipment. This includes personal computers, network systems, and related hardware and software. The role also involves resolving minor network issues and providing end-user support in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on IT and telecom equipment.
Monitor, coordinate, and support end-user systems and hardware.
Resolve minor network connectivity issues and assist with system modifications.
Maintain compliance with IT security standards and maintain logs of issues.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve technical challenges and ensure system efficiency.


Requirements:

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant experience in IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
Customer service or call center experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other standard software packages.
Familiarity with network protocols, system configurations, and IT security best practices.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work well in a high-demand, team-oriented environment.
High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
