The Support Center area at Dollarcity…Is a dynamic team dedicated to providing technical assistance and problem resolution for store employees across multiple locations. Equipped with expertise in troubleshooting, system management, and user support, the team ensures seamless operations by managing local and remote equipment. Operating in a bilingual environment, the Support Center prioritizes efficiency, responsiveness, and innovative solutions to empower Dollarcity's workforce and enhance operational continuity.
As Loss Prevention Assistant: you will play a key role in supporting Dollarama’s loss prevention operations by reviewing store footage, following up on fraud investigations, and helping ensure compliance with internal standard operating processes. This role supports the identification of potential fraud, monitors adherence to operational and security standards, and documents findings clearly and accurately.
The position requires strong attention to detail, judgment, and the ability to work across multiple tools and teams to support investigations, reporting, and process compliance related to store operations, point-of-sale activity, self-checkout, etc.
In a day as Loss Prevention Assistant, you will:
- Conduct detailed footage reviews, POS tickets review to identify potential irregularities, policy breaches, or fraud indicators, and escalate critical findings to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Support fraud investigations through follow-up activities, documentation, and evidence review.
- Document investigation findings, case narratives, and watchlist recommendations in ServiceNow and other internal systems.
- Provide clear insights and narratives to leadership, team members and store staff regarding findings, trends, and opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and reports in English to support cross-functional communication and case tracking.
- Collaborate with internal partners to improve investigation of workflows, reporting quality, and process compliance.
What do you need to be successful?
- English proficiency is required. B2 level preferred; B1 may be considered if communication skills are strong enough to complete training and manage day-to-day interactions
- Previous experience in retail, loss prevention, auditing (desire not mandatory) BPO, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience following standard operating procedures and working within structured processes.
- Good analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to document findings clearly, accurately, and professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational/reporting systems.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
