The Facilities Technician (Electrical or Mechanical) supports the Facilities Team Leader in maintaining the quality of the electrical supply and air conditioning for TELUS Digital, inspects electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and ensures compliance with codes.

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for planning, scheduling, troubleshooting, and prioritizing repairs for preventative and regular maintenance as directed. Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all basic building operating systems, research and purchase parts and equipment.
-In charge of testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system. Operate, troubleshoot HVAC and lighting. Assemble electrical systems or prototypes, using hand tools or measuring instruments; Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, or repair electrical instruments or testing equipment; identify solutions to on-site technical design problems involving electrical systems equipment, among others.
-Read, evaluate, and interpret building plans, diagrams, and specifications. Receive, investigate, and respond to any building/facility maintenance emergencies, including after-hours call-backs. Work closely with the IT department.
-Supervise third-party service provider for the day-to-day activity to ensure safe and sustainable running condition of the equipment, compliant with TI Standards.

Knowledge:
? Microsoft Office - Intermediate.

? Principles of carpentry, plumbing, and painting work - Intermediate.
? Knowledge in PLC electrical control, variable speed drives, and automation in

? Principles and practices of contract administration - Intermediate.
? Basic mathematical principles - Intermediate.

Studies & Experience:
? University Degree or Technician in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering - Desirable.
? Electrician Category III by SIGET.
? 3 years experience in building’s electrical installations, including wiring, panel
distribution, diesel generators & maintenance - Desirable.
