GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The General Accountant plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all accounting operations for the BPO based in El Salvador. This role, besides focusing on local accounting, is entrusted with the comprehensive support and collaboration with other entities within the group. Given the global nature of the organization and the English language used in systems and communications, proficient skills in this language are essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounting Oversight: Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely, guaranteeing the integrity of accounting records.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and variance analyses.
• Inter-Entity Collaboration: Act as the primary accounting liaison with other group entities, providing support, and ensuring consistency in accounting practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities follow fiscal and accounting regulations in El Salvador, including knowledge in IFRS (NIFF)
• Budgeting: Actively participate in the preparation, review, and monitoring of the annual budget.
• Audits: Coordinate, prepare, and be the primary point of contact for both internal and external audits, ensuring full availability and accuracy of information.
• Process Optimization: Propose and implement enhancements in accounting systems and procedures to achieve greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Special Projects: Lead or collaborate on ad hoc accounting and financial projects as required.


REQUIREMENTS

Educational:
• University degree in accounting or related fields.
• CPA certification or equivalent.
• Possession of an active accountant stamp.

Experience:
• At least 5 years in advanced or managerial accounting roles, preferably in BPO environments.
• Previous experience with systems such as Bill.com, QuickBooks, and Oracle is highly valued.

Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office tools, especially Excel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fiscal and accounting regulations in El Salvador, including NIFF PYME.

Soft Skills:
• Exceptional communication skills in Spanish and English (at least 70% written and 60% spoken).
• Leadership, teamwork, and autonomy abilities.
• Analytical focus, attention to detail, and problem-solving capacity.
