ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Check Cashing Collection Specialist is responsible for billing/collecting on returned items for checks processed by RIA Stores, and other collections duties as assigned.

The Check Cashing Collection Specialist is responsible for billing/collecting on returned items for checks processed by RIA Stores, and other collections duties as assigned. The Collections Specialist must follow up on checks assigned to them, with the objective of collecting as much as possible and subsequently updating notes/payments in the system. This will require reaching out to the Customer or Check Issuer directly and attempting to secure a payment for the dishonored instrument received by RIA.

Roles & Responsibilities

Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and issue payment receipts.
Perform accurate data entry and maintain updated records.
Meet billing and call quality targets.
Advise customers on payment options and negotiate recoveries.
Resolve disputes and ensure proper follow-up.
Demonstrate empathy, persistence, and professionalism in all interactions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
English level 75%
Must be detail oriented, with the ability to work independently
Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
Collections or Accounts Receivable experience is a plus
