Location: El Salvador (remote; occasional in-person tasks related to company operations)
Compensation: Starting base salary + meaningful stock options

We’re building a Bitcoin-backed derivatives platform and are just at the start of a great journey that will take us to serve clients worldwide while setting new benchmarks for efficiency and transparency in financial markets.

Your Role as Compliance Officer:
• Develop and maintain written AML/CFT/WMDP policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
• Design, configure, and optimize transaction-monitoring rules; investigate alerts and recommend proportionate, risk-based controls.
• Prepare regulatory filings and respond to information requests; act as the primary liaison with Salvadoran authorities and regulators.
• Lead incident response and implement corrective actions for compliance issues.

As an early team member in a young startup, you’ll also support administrative and legal activities such as company incorporation, permits, licensing, and other regulatory obligations.

What We’re Looking For
• 2+ years hands-on AML experience (banking or fintech).
• AML certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA, or similar) — in progress or completed.
• University degree
• Comfort working with regulators.
• Spanish & English (professional working proficiency).
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and startup-level ownership
