GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and upbeat Workforce Recruiter to join our team. This role helps to fill service zones with quality Lawn Maintenance Vendors. The ideal candidate is resourceful, fast-learning, and comfortable working independently under a laissez-faire leadership style.

As a Workforce Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, contacting, and managing your own leads, conducting high-volume phone screenings, and building strong vendor relationships. This position requires assertive and effective communication, persistence, and the ability to prioritize. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, able to review vendor documentation, shift gears quickly between priorities, and enjoy the challenges of building a reliable and talented vendor network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*Source, contact, and manage your own candidate and vendor leads using a variety of channels (Like but not limited to: Facebook, Yelp, Yellow Pages, Manta, Social Media, Networking, Referrals...)
* Conduct daily phone screenings (30+ calls per day; 100+ per week) to evaluate vendor skills and make sure they meet the requirements to join our company.
* Explain recruitment processes and ensure vendors understand and abide by company policies and instructions.
* Review and verify candidate and vendor documentation with strong attention to detail.
* Build trust with candidates and vendors through assertive, empathetic, and effective communication.
* Confidently handle extended phone conversations and maintain professionalism at all times.
* Prioritize multiple recruitment processes, balancing urgent hires and long-term sourcing needs.
* Work independently under a laissez-faire leadership style, taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
* Follow established processes while also suggesting and pushing for improvements when needed.
* Prepare and deliver weekly reports of tasks completed to leadership.
* Meet monthly, weekly and daily goals.
* Update records in the internal CRM so information is kept current.
* Coordinate Onboarding Calls with leadership

REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum 1 year of recruitment experience (experience hiring workforce/field personnel such as gardeners, cleaning, or similar roles is a plus).
* Excellent English skills (written and verbal) – required.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Forms, Word, Outlook).
* Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or CRM – desirable.
* Previous sales, outbound calling, or cold-calling experience – strong advantage.
* Proven ability to handle high call volumes and manage recruitment pipelines.
* Strong attention to detail when screening candidates and reviewing documentation.
* Comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision.
* Ability to balance following rules with offering constructive suggestions for process improvement.
* Comfortable with owning specific territories that you will be accountable for.

* Independence: Thrives in a laissez-faire leadership environment with minimal supervision.
* Customer Service & Empathy: Builds trust and fosters long-term vendor/candidate relationships.
