The Check Cashing Billing Clerk is accountable for collecting the maximum amount of funds from Ria Money Transfer Agents, related to Check Cashing Services.

Primary Responsibilities

o Manages billing of Chargebacks, Adjustments & Fees for a specific region
o Reach out to Agent’s on a daily basis via phone/fax/email- advising them of returned items
o Fax/email – Returned item notices to agents
o Responsible for verifying the information on checks returned by the bank
o Contact agents regarding overdue balances and determine reason for nonpayment
o Contact agent regarding non–conforming images
o Recover funds from Agents
o Answer incoming calls, resolve agent inquiries, create and provide payment receipts to agents when requested.

o Data entry and data analysis
o Deliver a consistent and professional level of service at all times.
o Achieve billing targets and call quality objectives.
o Advice and influence Agent’s on the payment options for recovery of funds
o Handle each call promptly and in the correct manner, updating records accordingly.
o Input customer related data accurately and efficiently.
o Take responsibility for resolving disputes, ensuring that caller concerns are actioned correctly and all parties are notified.
o Manage Agents who are resistant by remaining polite, tactful, honest, and firm.
o Decide on the correct action when negotiating payments.
o Have the ability to relate to people from a variety of different backgrounds.
o Be persuasive, persistent and self-motivated. Show empathy, assertiveness, tact and resilience.
o Must be available to work on weekends

Skills/Experience

o English level 70%
o Must be detail oriented, with the ability to work independently
o Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
