The Check Cashing Billing Clerk is responsible for billing and assuring that payments are received from Ria Agents, for services related to the Check Cashing product.

Primary Responsibilities

•Manages billing of Chargebacks, Adjustments & Fees for a specific region
•Reach out to Agent’s on a daily basis via phone/fax/email- advising them of returned items
•Fax/email – Returned item notices to agents
•Responsible for verifying the information on checks returned by the bank
•Contact agents regarding overdue balances and determine reason for non-payment
•Contact agent regarding non–conforming images
•Recover funds from Agents
•Answer incoming calls, resolve agent inquiries, create and provide payment receipts to agents when requested.

•Deliver a consistent and professional level of service at all times.
•Achieve billing targets and call quality objectives.
•Advice and influence Agent’s on the payment options for recovery of funds
•Handle each call promptly and in the correct manner, updating records accordingly.
•Input customer related data accurately and efficiently.
•Take responsibility for resolving disputes, ensuring that caller concerns are actioned correctly and all parties are notified.
•Manage Agents who are resistant by remaining polite, tactful, honest, and firm.
•Decide on the correct action when negotiating payments.
•Have the ability to relate to people from a variety of different backgrounds.
•Be persuasive, persistent and self-motivated. Show empathy, assertiveness, tact and resilience.
•Must be available to work on Saturday’s on a rotating basis

Skills/Experience
•English level 70%
•Must be detail oriented, with the ability to work independently
•Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
