JOB SUMMARY:
To supervise AP personnel in proper processing techniques and data entry of invoices. Provide quality control and maintenance for corporate wide disbursements. Ensure that all source documents are linked by voucher number to the transactions recorded in the Lawson system. Assist the department manager in training Accounts Payable personnel in proper processing procedures, systems and internal controls.
1. Directs the activities of accounts payable processing and data entry clerks, including special handling expenses, purchase orders, marine parts and repair, land operations repairs, and miscellaneous operating expenses.
2. Review daily production and metrics for data entry clerks and maintain update production reports.
3. Provide quality assurance in the disbursement process through the review of systems reports, specifically edits for accuracy of payee, amounts, general ledger coding (when applicable) and invoice #s.
4. Review daily maintenance reports and handles related system maintenance (Voucher voids, changes, releases, etc.) with AP employees and/or AP liaison team members.
5. Oversee the post-audit review of system transactions to prevent duplicate payments.
6. Provide training for AP employees, familiarizing them with the proper processing techniques and controls.
7. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Completed bachelor's degree preferred (Accounting, Business Administration or Finance).
All Crowley positions require proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Some positions may also include proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.

REQUIREMENTS:
2-3 years general accounting, related financial experience or accounts payables experience utilizing a mainframe or client server based system, strongly preferred.
1 or more years of experience in a leading supervisory role.
Data entry skills (6,480 ks/95% accuracy). Good organizational and communications skills. Bilingual (Spanish- English)
