Deputy Chief Of Party:

The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) provides technical and administrative support and
expertise to the program, serves as lead in the absence of the COP, and serves as a
significant liaison with USAID/Honduras, other implementing partners, other donors, and
any other key stakeholders. The DCOP will have demonstrated ability to work in
complex environments and manage diverse teams to deliver impact.

Following are minimum requirements for the DCOP:

• S/he must have an advanced degree (Master’s degree or higher) in public management,
political sciences, local development, or another related field.
• S/he must have at least twelve (12) years of international development work experience
(including at least 5 years in the Latin American region) in local democratic governance
including civil society participation in local development approaches.
• S/he must have proven field technical experience in designing and implementing
integrated program management in the areas of governance, local service delivery,
transparency and accountability, and citizen participation and in working directly with
host country government (national and subnational) and civil society organizations.
• S/he must have at least eight (8) years of supervisory work experience, including: (1)
direct supervision of professional and support staff; (2) quality evaluation of staff
performance and deliverables; and (3) project management under contract(s).
• Language requirements: Level IV Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale. Full
professional proficiency in English and Spanish are required.
