OverviewInvestment Products Risk (“IPR”) is a global organization within Independent Risk that is responsible for managing the risks associated with investment products and services that are manufactured by Citi, and/or sold to, Citi investment clients. IPR professionals are directly involved in Citi’s: (a) approval of new investment products and services, (b) risk framework for sales practices and suitability and, (c) initiatives across the globe related to evolving risks associated with Citi’s full range of businesses involved in investment products.Position: Investment Products Risk Manager – MexicoThe IPR team has robust engagement with a wide range of business and control function professionals. The candidate will work closely with IPR colleagues and with business, technology and other control functions (Finance, Compliance and Legal). The role is based in Mexico and will report to a manager in Mexico who will have a direct line into IPR Global Management. Outstanding performance will open a wide range of future opportunities.The IPR professional will work as a team with his/her Manager and business professionals and other control functions to:Provide overall independent risk management oversight to a wide range of businesses including retail manufacturing and distribution, corporate banking activities, and fiduciary businesses.Help with the implementation and monitoring of the recently adopted Disposiciones de Carácter General Aplicables a las Casas de Bolsa e Instituciones de Crédito en Materia de Servicios de Inversión (“Regulations”) which were issued by the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (“CNBV”) and other relevant rules / regulations pertinent.Coordinate activities for the Comité de Análisis de Productos Financieros (“Committee”).Support the analysis and organization of key information related to the assessment of the performance of investment products.Assist in organizing and analyzing intelligence on the positioning and activity within the aggregated portfolio of Citi clients across businesses in order to identify potential investment product risk issues.Facilitate RDIP Monitoring meetings – regular meetings with local business managers to review aggregated portfolio and client activity data, monitor adherence to the RDIP Policy and identify business risk issues.Assist with periodic presentations to Citi senior management, regulators, and other constituents, requiring the translation of complex concepts into %27user friendly%27 language.
