CHIEF TECHNICAL ADVISOR PROMOTION AND PROTECTION

Major responsibilities

Wves recognizes that governments acting alone cannot ensure the security, well-being and prosperity of all their citizens, primarily children, adolescents and youth. Partners and stakeholders from civil society, businesses and private sectors locally and internationally are needed to create healthy community environments, health, social and economic policies and, more importantly, genuine multidimensional models and approaches to (1) create new forms of wealth distribution, educational opportunities and development, (2) resolve inequalities in gender and power, (3) address the individual, environmental, structural and super structural causes of underdevelopment, and (4) balance the disparity between the "haves" and the 'have-nots" resulting in more sustainable, equitable, effective and compassionate development efforts.

Required qualifications and experience
•Bachelors degree or higher (preferred) in local development, public health, gender, law ,business administration, international relations or related fields.
•Over 5+ years of increasingly successful experience in sector mobilization, innovation, resourcefulness, public mobilization in the private and non-profit sectors.
•Knowledge of el salvador`s social, economic and political context.
•Willingness to engage and debate on critical issues.
•Ability to cultivate and develop strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders at local, national, and international level including but not limited to united nations system, usaid, european union, embassies, international and local non-governmental organizations, government officials at all levels, catholic and evangelical leaders and faith-based organizations .
•Extensive professional networks in the local and international development community with multiple clients, partners, stakeholders at all levels.
•Ability to identify, analyze and cultivate new public and private grant sources and funding prospects.
•Ability to develop and submit concept papers and proposals aimed at attracting new donor funds.
•Ability to support the resource development, communications, technical and programmatic team to increase awareness and visibility of violence and poverty prevention through fundraising campaigns and other, strategic high- visibility opportunities.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in spanish and english with ability to develop creative, clear and concise documents, reports and presentations.
•Strong planning, organization, critical and strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
•Extremely strong online facilitation, public speaking, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
•Ability to work in a fast–paced environment and meet deadlines with competing priorities.
•Superb computer literacy and skills in telecommunication technologies.
