CHIEF TECHNICAL ADVISOR YOUTH CULTURE OF PEACE

Required qualifications and experience
•Master’s degree or higher (preferred) in local development, psychology, sociology, political science, international relations, economics, business administration, law or related fields.

•Over 10 years of progressive experience in sector mobilization, national campaigns, resource mobilization and fund-raising within the public, private and non-profit sectors.
•Thorough knowledge of el salvador`s social, economic and political context.
•Capacity to engage and debate on critical issues at all levels including effective working relationships with a wide variety of people from various cultures, non-governmental and business settings, distinguished members of the public, executives of major corporations, and at high levels in government.

•Ability to translate plans into action, be persuasive, secure agreements and acceptance of cooperative action, and persevere in the face of frequent inefficiencies and setbacks expected in less developed situations.

•Ability to cultivate and develop strong relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders at local, national and international level including, but not limited to, the un system, usaid, european union, world bank, idb, cabei, other bilateral, multilateral or aid agencies, embassies, technical cooperation institutions, universities, non-governmental organizations, government officials at all levels, community leaders, social entrepreneurs and business leaders, and faith-based organizations, particularly catholic and evangelical churches and leadership.

•Ability to develop innovative concept papers, proposals and “salvadorean solutions” to strengthen, expand and diversify funding sources.

•Strong planning, organization, strategic planning, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills, including capacity to create new business models for the delivery of public goods and services.

• Superb online facilitation, public speaking, interpersonal, and information and communication skills.

•Ability to work in a fast–paced environment, works with urgency and under pressure, and meets deadlines with competing priorities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in spanish and english with ability to develop creative, clear and concise documents, reports and presentations.
